"Real Fact" #329

The world's first escalator was built in Coney Island, in 1896.

(Notes from Mrs. Feldman: Good job. But, did you notices that the articles have different YEARS cited? If the year is wrong, is the fact "Real"? For example, if you were born in 1999 and we say that you were born in the year 2000 in a biography of you, would you accept that as all right? Please write a paragraph discussing the contradicting facts and how you feel about it. Does that make the Snapple "Real Facts" not so reliable?)

The first escalator was built on Coney Island and it was designed by Jesse Reno.

This site has the same information as the last site but is a more known site and is more detailed.
We think that the real facts may not be reliable because on the cap it says it the first escalator was built in 1896, but on it says it was built in 1895. Also, there was a escalator
